Specific guidance for the development of load ratings and procedures associated with the load rating process as it pertains to bridge replacement, rehabilitation, and new bridge construction projects is documented in DelDOT’s Bridge Load Rating Manual (BLRM 2021). Additional information on bridge inspection procedures can be found in the DelDOT Bridge Inspection Manual (2021).

For consultant-designed projects, load ratings are to be completed by the consultant.
